Power rankings

Heading into Week 8 · Mon, Oct. 19 · from the editorial staff

Seven weeks, 98 games, and four teams left. The Missing Links win the Hyrule regular season at 11–3; TekTITANS join them in the championship after splitting their Week 7 meeting. Bow Mode take Lorule on the head-to-head winning-time tiebreak over The Last Resorts, both 9–5, and both earn Hyrule invitations for Season 2 if they accept. At the other end, Midwest is Best sweep Fahrenheit 451 to escape the bottom two on a three-team tiebreak. Three Bomb Count and Fahrenheit 451 are relegated. Championship Week runs October 26–November 1: two best-of-five series, two independent racers per team, and combined finishing times. This edition previews those four contenders and closes the regular-season book on everyone else. These are power rankings across both divisions, not a second standings table.

Championship Week: Oct. 26–Nov. 1 · League Team announcement · Championship format

  1. 2– TekTITANS Hyrule · 9–5 · preseason 3 seed Never swept, perfect in co-op, and now facing the team they just split with.

    Seven-week review

TekTITANS built nine wins from two co-op sweeps and five solo-week splits. ThePirateSheep’s Week 7 win over Merks supplied the ninth and secured second place without needing a tiebreaker. Every week produced points; there was no disastrous round to overcome.

    Strengths

ThePirateSheep finishes 6–1 overall and 3–1 in solo games. All three teammates contributed to the team’s 4–0 co-op record, with Ramrodius winning all three of his co-op appearances.

    The limitation

The solo record is 5–5: Bogie finishes 2–2 and Ramrodius 0–2. The championship adds two individual clocks without allowing co-op communication, so the unbeaten pairs record is evidence of potential, not a guarantee in this format.

    Championship outlook

The lower seed chooses the flags in Games 2 and 4. TekTITANS need those choices and the required pair rotation to produce a third win, something no regular-season weekly matchup asked of them.

  2. 3– Horny Steel Crushers Hyrule · 8–6 · preseason 5 seed Third in Hyrule: a strong recovery that finished one win short.

    Seven-week review

After being swept by The Missing Links in Week 1, Horny Steel Crushers never lost another weekly matchup. Sweeps of Three Bomb Count and Shadow Cartel did the heavy lifting. A final split with Bow Mode left them on 24 points, three behind TekTITANS.

    Strengths

Their 3–1 co-op record was the best outside the two Hyrule finalists. Antlerz44 finished 2–1 in solo games, and the sweep of Shadow Cartel secured third on the head-to-head tiebreaker.

    The limitation

A 5–5 solo record left too little separation. They split each of the final two weeks when another win would have brought them level with TekTITANS on points.

    Season verdict

No Week 8 series, but third in Hyrule from the preseason fifth seed is a credible season. They retain a Hyrule invitation and finish as the strongest team outside the championship field.

  3. 4– Bow Mode Lorule · 9–5 · preseason 11 seed Lorule’s regular-season winner, with an unbeaten solo anchor.

    Seven-week review

Bow Mode followed two opening splits with sweeps in Weeks 3 and 4, recovered from a Week 5 sweep by 3 Horsemen, and closed 3–1. Flipheal’s Week 7 win over syscrusher helped secure a crossover split against Hyrule’s eventual third-place team.

    Strengths

Flipheal went 4–0 in solo games and Eykir 2–1, driving a 7–3 team solo record. Eykir’s Week 2 win is also the one that ultimately wins the head-to-head time tiebreak over The Last Resorts.

    The limitation

The 2–2 co-op record is less convincing than The Last Resorts’ 3–1, and Windfox470 finished 1–2 in solo games. Rotating pairs means Flipheal cannot race every game.

    Championship outlook

The first seed and the Game 1 flagset choice belong to Bow Mode. Their earlier 1–1 split with The Last Resorts makes this a close call, but the stronger solo record keeps them just ahead here. The Hyrule invitation is already earned; the Lorule title is still to play for.

  4. 5– The Last Resorts Lorule · 9–5 · preseason 13 seed From the preseason thirteenth seed to a title series and a Hyrule invitation.

    Seven-week review

Four opening splits kept The Last Resorts in contact. Back-to-back sweeps of Dodongo Ate My Baby and Three Unique Gamers then moved them into the top two. Picklesandbeer’s Week 7 win over Stags28 ensured that 3 Horsemen could not catch them.

    Strengths

Picklesandbeer finishes 3–0 in solo games and 5–1 overall. Neokefka won all three of his co-op appearances, helping the team post Lorule’s best co-op record at 3–1.

    The limitation

The regular-season solo record was 6–4, with Neokefka at 1–2. The championship requires independent play, so their strength in the co-op weeks will need to translate into a different kind of pairs racing.

    Championship outlook

Bow Mode won the seeding tiebreak, not the championship. The Last Resorts have already split with them and enter after winning five of their last six games. Their Season 2 Hyrule invitation, subject to acceptance, stands regardless of the series result.

  5. 6– Shadow Cartel Hyrule · 8–6 · preseason 2 seed A 7–1 start became fourth place after a difficult final three weeks.

    Seven-week review

Shadow Cartel opened with three sweeps and a split, then won only once in the last six games. Shatty beat Sigil in the finale. The Week 7 split with Three Bomb Count stopped the slide, but the championship places had moved out of reach.

    Strengths

Droois went 3–1 in solo games. The team’s 6–4 solo record and early sweep of the preseason top seed, Midwest is Best, show why Shadow Cartel led Hyrule through four weeks.

    The limitation

The consecutive sweeps by Horny Steel Crushers and The Missing Links erased the early advantage. The loss to the Crushers also settled their final tie for third.

    Season verdict

Fourth in Hyrule retains the Season 2 invitation, but a preseason second seed that started 7–1 will view the missed final as an opportunity lost. Their best stretch remains strong enough to keep them sixth in these rankings.

  6. 7– 3 Horsemen Lorule · 8–6 · preseason 9 seed One win outside Lorule’s final, despite sweeping its regular-season winner.

    Seven-week review

3 Horsemen swept Dodongo Ate My Baby to open and Bow Mode in Week 5. Their only weekly defeat was the crossover sweep by Shadow Cartel. Splits in Weeks 6 and 7 left them third, one win behind both finalists.

    Strengths

BBQDotGov finished 3–0 in solo games, while specialk3782 went 2–1 solo and won the finale against Hyo24. The sweep of Bow Mode is their clearest evidence of championship-level play.

    The limitation

Stags28 finished 1–3 in solo games. The team could take games off the leaders, but could not turn either of the last two weekly matchups into the sweep needed to climb higher.

    Season verdict

An 8–6 season earns third in Lorule and seventh here. They sit immediately behind the four finalists and Hyrule’s next two teams: a contender whose final margin was one game.

  7. 8– 8-Bit Warriors Lorule · 7–7 · preseason 12 seed Seven weeks, seven splits, and a perfect solo season from SirLinkalot.

    Seven-week review

Every weekly matchup ended 1–1, including the crossover with The Missing Links. Week 7 followed the same pattern: SirLinkalot beat LysanderTheLion, and Ultralavos answered against Mainelyretro207. The Warriors finish fourth in Lorule.

    Strengths

SirLinkalot went 4–0 in solo games and 6–1 overall. His wins included Thomjay in Week 2, giving the Warriors a point-scoring foothold even against Hyrule’s regular-season winner.

    The limitation

The other six solo appearances produced one win. A 2–2 co-op record held the middle ground but could not supply the sweep that never arrived.

    Season verdict

From the preseason twelfth seed, eighth-best record overall and fourth in Lorule represent a worthwhile season. The route beyond .500 is clear: turn SirLinkalot’s winning weeks into team sweeps.

  8. 9▲4 Midwest is Best Hyrule · 5–9 · preseason 1 seed The last sweep changed everything at the relegation line.

    Seven-week review

Midwest is Best entered Week 7 last in Hyrule at 3–9. cUstOm beat RhinoHero by 33 seconds, and jessandy8 earned a first win against Birdman. The sweep created a three-way tie on 15 points, with Midwest’s 3–1 record against the other two tied teams taking fifth.

    Strengths

cUstOm finishes 3–1 in solo games. The team won three of its final four games and ended 5–5 in solo play, enough to make the escape possible when the pressure was highest.

    The limitation

An 0–4 co-op record and three sweeps against them made this a difficult season for the preseason top seed. Fifth is a rescue, not fulfillment of those initial expectations.

    Season verdict

The finish earns a move up these rankings and, more consequentially, a retained Hyrule invitation. Their head-to-head results put them ahead of both relegated teams; there is no Week 8 appearance to chase.

  9. 10▲2 Three Unique Gamers Lorule · 6–8 · preseason 8 seed A closing sweep lifts them to fifth in Lorule.

    Seven-week review

Three opening splits gave way to a difficult middle stretch, including sweeps by Bow Mode and The Last Resorts. Nochibato and BlessedBe both won in Week 7, producing the team’s first sweep and bringing them level with Lion’s Opening.

    Strengths

Nochibato finished 2–1 in solo games. The team split both co-op weeks, and its winning combined time against Lion’s Opening in Week 3 settled the final fifth-place tiebreaker.

    The limitation

The 4–6 solo record kept them outside the title race. OzzSolo went 0–3 alone, including losses by 59 seconds and 17 seconds: small margins that still counted as full games.

    Season verdict

Fifth in Lorule falls short of the expectations of its highest preseason seed. The final sweep gives them a better ending and a move up here, but the two finalists both swept them during the season.

  10. 11▼2 Lion's Opening Lorule · 6–8 · preseason 10 seed A promising first half gave way to sixth in Lorule.

    Seven-week review

Lion’s Opening stood 5–3 after four weeks, then lost four straight to TekTITANS and Bow Mode. Ultralavos’ Week 7 win over Mainelyretro207 restored a split, but the team finished below Three Unique Gamers on the head-to-head time tiebreaker.

    Strengths

Ultralavos finished 3–1 in solo games. Lion’s Opening swept Dodongo Ate My Baby in Week 2 and split with eventual finalist The Last Resorts in Week 1.

    The limitation

The co-op record was 1–3. Across all formats they won only once in the final three weeks, and nobody could supply the second solo win in the finale.

    Season verdict

The final 6–8 record leaves them sixth in Lorule and eleventh here. Their best individual results were competitive; maintaining that level across both games of a weekly matchup was the missing piece.

  11. 12▼1 Three Bomb Count Hyrule · 5–9 · preseason 6 seed Four straight splits were not enough to stay above the relegation line.

    Seven-week review

Three Bomb Count recovered from a 1–5 start by splitting every matchup from Week 4 onward. BrewersFanJP beat YmustUhateME in Week 7, but Shatty’s win over Sigil left them on 15 points alongside Midwest is Best and Fahrenheit 451.

    Strengths

Sigil finished 2–1 in solo games, and BrewersFanJP went 2–2. They found points in five of seven weeks, including splits with finalist TekTITANS and The Last Resorts.

    The limitation

They never swept a weekly matchup. A 1–3 co-op record and ISUMatt’s 0–3 solo record limited the chances to pull clear of the bottom group.

    Season verdict

Their 2–2 record among the three tied teams places them sixth in Hyrule, ahead of Fahrenheit 451 but below Midwest is Best. That means relegation despite a steady run of points in the second half.

  12. 13▼3 Fahrenheit 451 Hyrule · 5–9 · preseason 7 seed Five middle-week splits could not survive the final sweep.

    Seven-week review

Fahrenheit 451 were swept in Week 1, split Weeks 2 through 6, and were swept again in Week 7. RhinoHero missed cUstOm by just 33 seconds in the finale, before jessandy8’s win over Birdman completed the result that decided their fate.

    Strengths

Bort went 2–1 in solo games. RhinoHero supplied a Week 4 win over Merks, and a 2–2 co-op record kept Fahrenheit competitive through the middle of the schedule.

    The limitation

The team finished 3–7 in solo games, with Birdman 0–4. Against the two other teams on 15 points, Fahrenheit went 1–3, leaving no tiebreak protection.

    Season verdict

Seventh in Hyrule means relegation. For much of the season they held their place by taking one game every week; without a sweep of their own, the final two losses were enough to move them to the bottom.

  13. 14– Dodongo Ate My Baby Lorule · 2–12 · preseason 14 seed Two wins to build on after a difficult first season.

    Seven-week review

Dodongo Ate My Baby’s points came from splits against 8-Bit Warriors in Week 4 and Fahrenheit 451 in Week 6. Three Unique Gamers swept the finale, leaving Dodongo seventh in Lorule with six points.

    Strengths

GrandpaSzabo put the first win on the board in Week 4. Seanfreston’s Week 6 win over Birdman came by 38 seconds and earned a crossover split against a Hyrule team.

    The limitation

A 2–8 solo record and 0–4 co-op record left too few scoring weeks. Lumaga finished 0–4 in solo games, and the team never found consecutive wins.

    Season verdict

The preseason fourteenth seed finishes fourteenth here. There is no Week 8 matchup, but the two successful weeks give a concrete starting point for a return: turn isolated wins into regular splits, then find the first sweep.

Earlier editions

Each week as it was written, with the record every team carried that Monday. The opinions are never revised after the fact; a wrong fact is corrected.

Week 7Mon, Oct. 12

Six weeks are in the books, one is left, and two teams from each division play on in Week 8. The Missing Links have one of the Hyrule places already: they swept Shadow Cartel, and on 30 points only TekTITANS can still draw level with them. Behind them it is three teams for one place. TekTITANS are on 24 and host The Missing Links; Horny Steel Crushers and Shadow Cartel are on 21, and Shadow Cartel have lost four games in a row. Lorule comes down to one match, 3 Horsemen at The Last Resorts, with Bow Mode level with The Last Resorts on 24 and waiting on a crossover against Horny Steel Crushers. Week 7 is a 1v1 week. The staff ran every possible result through the League tiebreakers, and none of them comes down to a coin flip.

  1. 2– TekTITANS Hyrule · 8–4 · preseason 3 seed Unbeaten in co-op, 4–4 alone, and the last week of the season is a 1v1 week.

    Last three weeks

Split with Horny Steel Crushers in Week 6. Bogie went 1:06:43 while antlerz44 did not finish, and Ramrodius did not finish against syscrusher. Before that, a sweep of Lion's Opening and a split with Shadow Cartel.

    Strengths

They are 4–0 in co-op games, and ThePirateSheep has won five of his six races. Bogie and ThePirateSheep are both 2–1 in 1v1 weeks.

    Weak spots

All four losses came in 1v1 weeks, and two of them were Ramrodius's, who is 0–2 alone and 3–0 with a partner. Last week the staff passed on his view that a team's weak spot is the racer short on 1v1 wins. It reports his record without comment.

    Week 7 and beyond

The Missing Links at home in Week 7. A sweep puts TekTITANS in Week 8, and in first place. A split puts them in unless Horny Steel Crushers sweep Bow Mode. Get swept, and they need Bow Mode to sweep Horny Steel Crushers and Three Bomb Count to take a game off Shadow Cartel.

  2. 3– Horny Steel Crushers Hyrule · 7–5 · preseason 5 seed Level with Shadow Cartel on 21, ahead of them on the tiebreaker, and needing a sweep.

    Last three weeks

Split with TekTITANS in Week 6: syscrusher won in 1:02:30, and antlerz44 did not finish against Bogie. A sweep of Shadow Cartel the week before, and a split with Midwest is Best before that.

    Strengths

syscrusher is 4–1 and has won both his co-op games. They hold the tiebreaker over both teams they are chasing: they swept Shadow Cartel, and syscrusher's 1:02:30 is the faster winning time from the split with TekTITANS.

    Weak spots

eatmysteel is 0–2 in 1v1 weeks, and Week 7 is one. antlerz44 had won both of his 1v1 races before last week.

    Week 7 and beyond

The crossover at Bow Mode in Week 7. Sweep it and they are in, unless TekTITANS sweep The Missing Links. A split is only enough if The Missing Links sweep TekTITANS and Shadow Cartel drop a game to Three Bomb Count. Anything less and Week 7 is their last.

  3. 4▲3 Bow Mode Lorule · 8–4 · preseason 11 seed Level with The Last Resorts at the top of Lorule, and they hold the tiebreaker.

    Last three weeks

Swept Lion's Opening in Week 6, by 13:05 and 14:38. That came after a sweep by 3 Horsemen in Week 5, and a sweep of Three Unique Gamers before it.

    Strengths

Flipheal is 3–0 in 1v1 weeks and Eykir 2–0: five races, five wins, and Week 7 is a 1v1 week. Bow Mode are 6–2 in 1v1 games this season. They split with The Last Resorts in Week 2, and Eykir's 1:06:27 is the faster winning time, so the tiebreaker is theirs.

    Weak spots

Their losses are in co-op, 2–2, and there is no co-op left. 3 Horsemen swept them in Week 5 and own that tiebreaker. Windfox470 is 1–2 in 1v1 races.

    Week 7 and beyond

Horny Steel Crushers at home in Week 7, a crossover that matters more to Bow Mode than any game in their own division. Win one game and they are in. Get swept and they are out if 3 Horsemen and The Last Resorts split; if 3 Horsemen sweep, Bow Mode still go through unless 8-Bit Warriors sweep Lion's Opening.

  4. 5▲1 The Last Resorts Lorule · 8–4 · preseason 13 seed The No. 13 seed is one match from Week 8, and the match is 3 Horsemen.

    Last three weeks

Swept Three Unique Gamers in Week 6. Picklesandbeer won by 17 seconds, 1:34:35 to 1:34:52, the closest race of the week, and Neokefka beat BlessedBe by 10:09. Five wins in six games across Weeks 4 to 6.

    Strengths

Last week the staff pointed out that Neokefka was 0–2 in 1v1 weeks. He went 1:14:54 and won by ten minutes. Picklesandbeer is 2–0 in 1v1 races, and having noted that his first win took 2:22:04, the staff is obliged to report that his second took 1:34:35.

    Weak spots

Both of their sweeps came against teams that are now eliminated. Against everybody else they are 4–4, and every one of those four matches was a split.

    Week 7 and beyond

3 Horsemen at home in Week 7. Win one game and they are in. Get swept and they are out, unless Horny Steel Crushers sweep Bow Mode and 8-Bit Warriors sweep Lion's Opening, which would put them through on their 3–1 co-op record.

  5. 6▼2 Shadow Cartel Hyrule · 7–5 · preseason 2 seed Four straight losses, and the way back needs three results to go their way.

    Last three weeks

Swept by The Missing Links in Week 6, a week after being swept by Horny Steel Crushers. droois went 1:04:38 and lost to Iceblue by 2:41, and Shatty did not finish against Thomjay. Their last win was droois beating Bogie by 1:05 in Week 4.

    Strengths

They started the season 7–1. droois is 3–1 in 1v1 weeks, and his one loss came to Iceblue, who has not lost a League race to anybody.

    Weak spots

Since that 7–1 start they are 0–4. YmustUhateME sat out Week 6 after racing both games of the Week 5 sweep, and the result was the same.

    Week 7 and beyond

At Three Bomb Count in Week 7. They have to sweep, and then need The Missing Links to sweep TekTITANS and Bow Mode to take a game off Horny Steel Crushers. Lose either game and they are out.

  6. 7▼2 3 Horsemen Lorule · 7–5 · preseason 9 seed Three points off the Lorule lead, with a sweep that would put them in.

    Last three weeks

Split with 8-Bit Warriors in Week 6. BBQDotGov won by 26:46, the widest margin of the week, and Stags28 did not finish against Deus Ex Machina. A sweep of Bow Mode and a split with Lion's Opening before that.

    Strengths

BBQDotGov is 3–0 in 1v1 weeks and has raced in five of the six. The Week 5 sweep of Bow Mode gives them the tiebreaker over the team they are most likely to finish level with.

    Weak spots

Stags28 has lost his last two 1v1 races, and Week 7 is a 1v1 week.

    Week 7 and beyond

At The Last Resorts in Week 7. A sweep puts them in. A split puts them in only if Horny Steel Crushers sweep Bow Mode. Get swept and they are out.

  7. 8▲1 8-Bit Warriors Lorule · 6–6 · preseason 12 seed Eliminated, and still able to decide who goes through.

    Last three weeks

Split with 3 Horsemen in Week 6: Deus Ex Machina won in 1:08:10, and Mainelyretro207 lost to BBQDotGov by 26:46. Three straight splits.

    Strengths

SirLinkalot is 3–0 in 1v1 weeks and 5–1 this season, one of two racers to beat The Missing Links in a 1v1 race. Deus Ex Machina's win last week was his first in a 1v1 race.

    Weak spots

Eighteen points is not enough: every Week 7 result leaves them outside the top two. Mainelyretro207 is 0–2 in 1v1 weeks.

    Week 7 and beyond

At Lion's Opening in Week 7. If Horny Steel Crushers sweep Bow Mode and 3 Horsemen sweep The Last Resorts, an 8-Bit Warriors sweep makes it a three-way tie at 24 that sends The Last Resorts through instead of Bow Mode.

  8. 9▼1 Lion's Opening Lorule · 5–7 · preseason 10 seed Four straight losses, and out.

    Last three weeks

Swept by Bow Mode in Week 6, 13:05 and 14:38 behind. Swept by TekTITANS the week before, and a split with 3 Horsemen in Week 4.

    Strengths

They are 4–4 in 1v1 games. Ultralavos is 2–1 in 1v1 weeks, and LysanderTheLion beat specialk3782 by 13:54 in Week 4.

    Weak spots

One and three in co-op, and four losses in a row since that split with 3 Horsemen. Ultralavos's loss to Flipheal was his first in a 1v1 race.

    Week 7 and beyond

8-Bit Warriors at home in Week 7, and 15 points cannot reach the top two. Take one game, though, and if Bow Mode and The Last Resorts are both swept it is Bow Mode who go through.

  9. 10– Fahrenheit 451 Hyrule · 5–7 · preseason 7 seed Three straight splits, and one of them was against Dodongo Ate My Baby.

    Last three weeks

Split with Dodongo Ate My Baby in the Week 6 crossover. Bort won in 1:22:46 after GrandpaSzabo stopped, and Birdman lost to seanfreston by 38 seconds. Splits with Three Bomb Count and The Missing Links before that.

    Strengths

Bort is 2–1 in 1v1 weeks, and Rhinohero's Week 4 win over Merks is still one of the two games The Missing Links have lost all season.

    Weak spots

Birdman has raced seven times, more than anybody on the roster, and is 0–3 in 1v1 races. The last of them went by 38 seconds to a team that had not beaten a finisher all season.

    Week 7 and beyond

Midwest is Best at home in Week 7. Fifteen points cannot reach the top two, and a Midwest is Best sweep could leave them last in Hyrule.

  10. 11▲1 Three Bomb Count Hyrule · 4–8 · preseason 6 seed Sigil won by 26:36. The other game is the one they keep losing.

    Last three weeks

Split with Midwest is Best in Week 6. Sigil went 1:01:33 and beat jessandy8 by 26:36, and ISUMatt lost to TruantGamer by 1:13. Three straight splits.

    Strengths

Sigil is 2–0 in 1v1 races: last week's 1:01:33, and a Week 1 win over ThePirateSheep that is still one of the four games TekTITANS have lost. BrewersFanJP has raced in five of the six weeks.

    Weak spots

ISUMatt is 0–5 and has raced every week since Week 2, though 1:13 behind TruantGamer is the closest he has come.

    Week 7 and beyond

Shadow Cartel at home in Week 7, with nothing left for themselves and a whole season to end for somebody else: one game off Shadow Cartel puts them out.

  11. 12▼1 Three Unique Gamers Lorule · 4–8 · preseason 8 seed Swept by The Last Resorts, and one of the two went by 17 seconds.

    Last three weeks

OzzSolo went 1:34:52 and lost to Picklesandbeer by 17 seconds; BlessedBe lost to Neokefka by 10:09. A split with 8-Bit Warriors and a sweep by Bow Mode before that: one win in three weeks.

    Strengths

Nochibato and OzzSolo are 2–0 as a co-op pair. Nochibato is 1–1 in 1v1 weeks and did not race in Week 6.

    Weak spots

OzzSolo is 0–3 in 1v1 races, and he has lost them by 4:32, 59 seconds and 17 seconds: 5:48 in all.

    Week 7 and beyond

At Dodongo Ate My Baby in Week 7. Neither team can reach the top two.

  12. 13– Midwest is Best Hyrule · 3–9 · preseason 1 seed TruantGamer has his first League win.

    Last three weeks

Split with Three Bomb Count in Week 6. TruantGamer went 1:15:04 and beat ISUMatt by 1:13, and jessandy8 lost to Sigil by 26:36. Swept by The Missing Links before that, and a split with Horny Steel Crushers in Week 4.

    Strengths

cUstOm is 2–1 in 1v1 weeks and has two of the team's three wins; TruantGamer has the other. Their 1v1 races have been closer than the record says: the Week 4 split with Horny Steel Crushers went by 1:27 and 39 seconds.

    Weak spots

They are 0–4 in co-op games and 3–5 alone, and jessandy8 is 0–5.

    Week 7 and beyond

At Fahrenheit 451 in Week 7. The preseason No. 1 seed finishes last in Hyrule unless it sweeps them.

  13. 14– Dodongo Ate My Baby Lorule · 2–10 · preseason 14 seed seanfreston beat a racer who finished, and that is new.

    Last three weeks

Split with Fahrenheit 451 in the Week 6 crossover. seanfreston went 1:09:21 and beat Birdman by 38 seconds, and GrandpaSzabo did not finish against Bort. Swept by The Last Resorts before that.

    Strengths

seanfreston's win is the first time anybody on this roster has beaten a racer who finished. Both of their wins came in 1v1 weeks, from two different racers.

    Weak spots

They are 0–4 in co-op games and 2–6 alone.

    Week 7 and beyond

Three Unique Gamers at home in Week 7. Win both and they will have won as many games in one week as in the first six.

Week 6Mon, Oct. 5

Five weeks are in the books, two to go, and only two teams out of each division reach Week 8. Hyrule is a four-team race: The Missing Links lead with 24 points, Shadow Cartel and TekTITANS are tied at 21, Horny Steel Crushers sit on 18 -- and Week 6 matches all four of them up against each other, The Missing Links at Shadow Cartel and Horny Steel Crushers at TekTITANS. A sweep in that second one is worth six points and flips the two teams in the standings. Lorule is tighter still: five teams within three points, three of them tied at 18, and none of those three play each other until Week 7. Week 5 is what set it up. The Missing Links swept the preseason No. 1 seed and Horny Steel Crushers swept Shadow Cartel, which is the result of the week and the reason this list moved the way it did. At the other end the math is already finished: Midwest is Best, the preseason favorite, is eliminated from the Hyrule race, and so is Dodongo Ate My Baby in Lorule.

  1. 2– TekTITANS Hyrule · 7–3 · preseason 3 seed Tied with Shadow Cartel at 21, and the only one of the two that won last week.

    Last three weeks

Swept the crossover against Lion's Opening by 53:14 and 1:04:42 on combined time, the two widest margins anybody posted in Week 5.

    Strengths

Unbeaten in co-op, 4–0, and the only other team that can say so is the one they play in Week 7. ThePirateSheep has raced in all five weeks and won five of his six, and Ramrodius has been on the winning side of all three co-op games he has played.

    Weak spots

All three losses came in 1v1 weeks, and every racer on the roster owns one: ThePirateSheep to Sigil in Week 1, Ramrodius to Bort in Week 2, and Bogie to droois by 1:05 in Week 4. Ramrodius has argued in public that the real weak spot on a team is the racer short on 1v1 wins. He is 0–1 in them. The staff mentions it only because he brought it up.

    Week 6 and beyond

Horny Steel Crushers at home this week, The Missing Links next -- the team three points behind them and the team three in front, back to back. Sweep the first one and Horny Steel Crushers are nine points out with a week to go. Lose it and they are the ones looking up.

  2. 3▲2 Horny Steel Crushers Hyrule · 6–4 · preseason 5 seed They swept Shadow Cartel, and all at once fourth place is the team nobody wants.

    Last three weeks

Took both from Shadow Cartel, 1:24:00 to 1:35:28 in the opener and the second game when both Cartel racers stopped. A split with Midwest is Best the week before that.

    Strengths

antlerz44 and syscrusher went 42:13 and 41:47 against Shadow Cartel: 1:24:00 combined, the fastest co-op game anybody has posted all season, a minute and a half ahead of the next. antlerz44 is 2–0 in 1v1 weeks.

    Weak spots

They were swept by The Missing Links in Week 1 without a finish between them, and eatmysteel is 0–2 in 1v1 weeks -- the second by 39 seconds to cUstOm, who has both of Midwest is Best's wins this season. Six and four is what that adds up to, and they are three points out of the top two with four races left.

    Week 6 and beyond

TekTITANS this week, then the Rank 4 crossover at Bow Mode -- both of them count in the division race. Sweep TekTITANS and 18 becomes 24: past them, and even with The Missing Links as of this morning. Lose both and it is a nine-point hole with one week to dig out of it.

  3. 4▼3 Shadow Cartel Hyrule · 7–3 · preseason 2 seed In first for four weeks, then swept for the first time all season.

    Last three weeks

Lost both to Horny Steel Crushers, down 11:28 on combined time in the opener and in the second game neither YmustUhateME nor Shatty finished. First week all season they came away with nothing.

    Strengths

droois is 3–0 in 1v1 weeks and has raced in all five, and no other racer in Hyrule has three 1v1 wins. In the crossover YmustUhateME and Shatty went 1:03:55 and 1:04:33 together, and Shadow Cartel swept 3 Horsemen by 17:43 and 19:33 on combined time.

    Weak spots

YmustUhateME raced both games last week, and Shadow Cartel lost both. He is 1–0 in 1v1 weeks and 1–2 in co-op games, and Week 6 is a 1v1 week, against the team in first.

    Week 6 and beyond

The Missing Links this week, Three Bomb Count next. Twenty-one points with four races to go is comfortable right up until the team three points ahead of you is the one you have to play.

  4. 5▲5 3 Horsemen Lorule · 6–4 · preseason 9 seed Tied for the Lorule lead, and the only one of the three who won their week outright.

    Last three weeks

Swept Bow Mode, 1:38:04 and 1:37:33 on combined time, with Bow Mode unable to get two finishers on the board in either game. specialk3782 raced both.

    Strengths

BBQDotGov is 2–0 in 1v1 weeks, and 1:38:04 and 1:37:33 back to back, 31 seconds apart, is the steadiest pair of co-op games anybody in Lorule has put together.

    Weak spots

The last time they played a Hyrule team, Shadow Cartel beat them by 17:43 and 19:33 on combined time, and specialk3782 lost his Week 4 race to LysanderTheLion by 13:54. Six and four against the bottom seven seeds is six and four against the bottom seven seeds.

    Week 6 and beyond

8-Bit Warriors this week, The Last Resorts next -- and that second one is against a team tied with them at 18. On this board it is the game that settles the division.

  5. 6▲3 The Last Resorts Lorule · 6–4 · preseason 13 seed The No. 13 seed is tied for first in Lorule with two weeks to go.

    Last three weeks

Swept Dodongo Ate My Baby, who did not finish any of their four co-op legs. Splits with Three Bomb Count and 8-Bit Warriors before that.

    Strengths

Neokefka is 3–0 in co-op games, and Hyo24's 58:14 last week is the fastest leg anybody on this roster has run all season. A No. 13 seed tied for first is the longest reach in the League by a distance.

    Weak spots

Neokefka is 0–2 in 1v1 weeks, and Week 6 is one. The sweep that tied them for first came against a team that did not finish a leg: six points, and nothing else learned. Picklesandbeer's only 1v1 win of the season took 2:22:04. It counts the same as anybody's, and the staff would like it noted that it took a while.

    Week 6 and beyond

Three Unique Gamers this week, 3 Horsemen next. Win this one and that one turns into a straight shootout for a division spot.

  6. 7▼3 Bow Mode Lorule · 6–4 · preseason 11 seed Still tied for first, and they have not finished a co-op leg in two weeks.

    Last three weeks

Swept by 3 Horsemen. Windfox470 did not finish the opener, and neither Flipheal nor Eykir finished the second. Six and four now, after sitting at 6–2 a week ago.

    Strengths

Flipheal is 2–0 in 1v1 weeks and went 51:51 in the opener last week, which was not the problem, and Eykir won the one 1v1 race he was given. A No. 11 seed tied for first is still a long way ahead of what the preseason asked of them.

    Weak spots

Three DNFs in two games last week. Windfox470 has raced in every week, more than anybody on the roster, and is 1–2 in 1v1 races going into a 1v1 week. His win was 1:43:39, against a racer who stopped.

    Week 6 and beyond

Lion's Opening this week, then the Rank 4 crossover at home against Horny Steel Crushers -- the team that just swept Shadow Cartel, in the week their spot gets decided.

  7. 8▼2 Lion's Opening Lorule · 5–5 · preseason 10 seed A crossover against the upper division is a rough way to drop two.

    Last three weeks

Swept by TekTITANS in the Rank 4 crossover, 53:14 and 1:04:42 behind on combined time. A split with 3 Horsemen and another with Three Unique Gamers in the two weeks before it.

    Strengths

Four and two in 1v1 weeks. Ultralavos is 2–0 in them, and LysanderTheLion beat specialk3782 by 13:54 in Week 4. Five and five with a crossover against TekTITANS in it is better than five and five sounds.

    Weak spots

One and three in co-op games, and the crossover losses were the two widest margins of the season in any game both teams finished. Ultralavos, unbeaten alone, is 0–2 with a partner.

    Week 6 and beyond

Bow Mode this week, 8-Bit Warriors next -- both inside the division, both against teams within three points. Three teams at 18, two at 15, and these are the games that sort it.

  8. 9▼1 8-Bit Warriors Lorule · 5–5 · preseason 12 seed Split the week and posted the widest margin either team managed in it.

    Last three weeks

Split with Three Unique Gamers. SirLinkalot (43:16) and Deus Ex Machina (42:15) took the opener by 39:14; the second went the other way by 11:20.

    Strengths

SirLinkalot is 3–0 in 1v1 weeks, has raced in all five, and is one of two racers to beat The Missing Links in a 1v1 race this season. The 1:25:31 he and Deus Ex Machina put up last week is the second-fastest co-op game in the League.

    Weak spots

The rest of the roster is 0–3 in 1v1 weeks between them, Deus Ex Machina 0–2 and MainelyRetro207 0–1. SirLinkalot cannot race all three.

    Week 6 and beyond

3 Horsemen this week, Lion's Opening next. Fifteen points with twelve still on the board and three teams ahead of them: alive, but they need help.

  9. 10▲1 Fahrenheit 451 Hyrule · 4–6 · preseason 7 seed Took a game off Three Bomb Count by 27:15 and were the better team in a bad week.

    Last three weeks

Split with Three Bomb Count, down 19:19 in the opener and up 27:15 in the second, where Birdman and RhinoHero finished within 1:01 of each other.

    Strengths

They keep taking games off the top of the division. Rhinohero beat The Missing Links in Week 4 -- one of the leader's two losses all season -- and Bort beat TekTITANS in Week 2.

    Weak spots

Birdman has raced six times, more than anybody on the roster, and is 0–2 in 1v1 weeks. Week 1 was a sweep without a finish. Four and six against the top seven seeds is a worse record than four and six anywhere else would be.

    Week 6 and beyond

The Rank 7 crossover at Dodongo Ate My Baby this week, Midwest is Best next. Twelve points with twelve available: the math is open and the schedule is friendly.

  10. 11▲2 Three Unique Gamers Lorule · 4–6 · preseason 8 seed Took the second game back by 11:20, and they need a lot more of those.

    Last three weeks

Split with 8-Bit Warriors, down 39:14 in the opener and up 11:20 in the second with Nochibato and OzzSolo finishing 14 seconds apart.

    Strengths

When this team pairs Nochibato with OzzSolo it wins: 2–0, by 31:33 over LKU in Week 3 and by 11:20 last week, with 1:03:59 and 1:04:13 side by side.

    Weak spots

Every other co-op pairing is 0–2, OzzSolo is 0–2 in 1v1 weeks, and Bow Mode swept them in Week 4 while neither of their racers finished. The No. 8 seed was the top seed in Lorule; it is sixth among Lorule teams on this list.

    Week 6 and beyond

The Last Resorts this week, Dodongo Ate My Baby next. Twelve points with twelve to play for, and the first one is against a team they have to catch.

  11. 12– Three Bomb Count Hyrule · 3–7 · preseason 6 seed Nineteen minutes up in one game, twenty-seven down in the other.

    Last three weeks

Split with Fahrenheit 451. BrewersFanJP (49:58) and Sigil (50:39) took the opener by 19:19; the second came in at 3:06:42 and lost by 27:15.

    Strengths

Sigil beat ThePirateSheep in Week 1, still one of only three races TekTITANS have lost, and he and BrewersFanJP went 1:40:37 together last week. BrewersFanJP has raced in all five weeks, six races, more than anyone on the roster.

    Weak spots

ISUMatt is 0–4 and has raced every week since Week 2. Sigil has raced four times and won the one 1v1 race he was given. By the standard a TekTITANS racer proposed this week, that is the lineup question. At nine points, sweeping both of the weeks left still only gets them to 21.

    Week 6 and beyond

Midwest is Best this week, Shadow Cartel next. Alive on paper and only on paper: 21 is their ceiling and Shadow Cartel are already sitting on it.

  12. 13▼6 Midwest is Best Hyrule · 2–8 · preseason 1 seed The preseason No. 1 seed has two wins, and cUstOm has both of them.

    Last three weeks

Swept by The Missing Links, 16:15 back on combined time in the opener and a DNF in the second. Two wins in ten races out of the preseason No. 1 seed.

    Strengths

cUstOm is 2–1 in 1v1 weeks, has raced in all five, and beat eatmysteel by 39 seconds in Week 4. On paper this was the best roster in the League. The staff has promised to stop mentioning paper, and this is the last time this edition does.

    Weak spots

Zero and four in co-op games, two and four in 1v1 weeks. TruantGamer is 0–5, jessandy8 is 0–4. Six points with twelve available is a ceiling of 18, and The Missing Links (24) and Shadow Cartel (21) are both already past it.

    Week 6 and beyond

Three Bomb Count this week, Fahrenheit 451 next, with nothing on the line but the standings and whatever a roster this good wants to prove with the two weeks it has left.

  13. 14– Dodongo Ate My Baby Lorule · 1–9 · preseason 14 seed Four co-op legs, four DNFs, and the math has run out.

    Last three weeks

Swept by The Last Resorts. Seanfreston and GrandpaSzabo did not finish the opener; seanfreston and Lumaga did not finish the second.

    Strengths

GrandpaSzabo won the team's only game of the season in Week 4, in 2:45:47 -- the slowest winning 1v1 time in the League, and worth exactly as much as the fastest. One win in ten is still one more than this season looked like giving them at 0–6.

    Weak spots

Lumaga has raced in every week and is 0–5. So is seanfreston. Three points out of ten races leaves a ceiling of 15, under the three teams already sitting on 18.

    Week 6 and beyond

The Rank 7 crossover at home against Fahrenheit 451 this week, Three Unique Gamers next. Both are winnable in a way the first five weeks were not.

Week 5Mon, Sept. 28

Four weeks gone and the table has stopped agreeing with the seeding. Shadow Cartel are still first, but only just: TekTITANS split with them on a race decided by 1:05 and another their own racer did not finish, and on the evidence of Week 4 there is very little between the two. The other stories are at opposite ends: Bow Mode, the preseason 11 seed, have the second-best record in the league at 6–2, and Midwest is Best, the preseason favorite with the highest-rated roster of the fourteen, are 2–6. Week 5 is co-op, where a team is only as quick as its slower half — which is a different question from the one most of these teams have been answering.

  1. 1– Shadow Cartel Hyrule · 7–1 · preseason 2 seed First on the table, and a minute and five seconds clear of second on the track.

    Last three weeks

Swept Fahrenheit 451, Midwest is Best and 3 Horsemen, then split with TekTITANS — the first week of the season they have not won both games.

    Strengths

droois (2363) is the highest-rated racer in the league and beat Bogie (2361), the second highest, by 1:05 in a straight race between them. Behind him Shatty (2210) and YmustUhateME (1815) make this the deepest roster after Midwest is Best.

    Weak spots

Shatty did not finish against ThePirateSheep, who went 47:41 — the quickest winning time of the week by five minutes. The record still reads best-in-league, but the gap to TekTITANS is one race and a stoppage wide, not the four places the standings suggest.

    Week 5 and beyond

Co-op at Horny Steel Crushers, whose 2103 is the third-heaviest roster in the league and the closest thing to a fair fight Shadow Cartel have had. On summed time antlerz44 (2451) is the best single racer either side can put out.

  2. 2▲1 TekTITANS Hyrule · 5–3 · preseason 3 seed The only team to take a game off Shadow Cartel, and it was closer than the split looks.

    Last three weeks

Split with Fahrenheit 451, swept the preseason favorite, and have now split with the team above them — ThePirateSheep won in 47:41 against a Shatty who did not finish, and Bogie lost by 1:05. Nobody else has faced that run and come out of it 4–2.

    Strengths

ThePirateSheep (2263) has the fastest time of Week 4 at 47:41, and Bogie (2361) lost his game by 1:05 to the one racer in the league rated above him. Two of the top four ratings sit on this roster.

    Weak spots

ramrodius (1657) is 600 points behind his own team-mates, so the third game is where this team is actually tested — and in co-op a pairing is only as quick as its second half.

    Week 5 and beyond

Co-op at Lion’s Opening, who are 5–3 from the preseason 10 seed on a 990 roster. On ratings this is the most lopsided matchup of the week; on results it is fifth against second in their divisions.

  3. 4▲1 Bow Mode Lorule · 6–2 · preseason 11 seed Ranked 11th of fourteen in the preseason, and only Shadow Cartel have a better record.

    Last three weeks

Split with The Last Resorts, then swept Dodongo Ate My Baby and Three Unique Gamers, and have not lost a matchup all season. The Week 4 sweep was the first time anyone has taken both games off Three Unique Gamers.

    Strengths

Flipheal (1725) is rated 400 points clear of anyone else on the roster and has not lost a game since Week 2. Against Three Unique Gamers he went 58:31 and Windfox470 took the other game as well.

    Weak spots

The roster average is 959, the third-lightest in the league, and they have not yet met anyone rated above 1400. Eykir (757) and Windfox470 (396) have been winning games the seeding said they would not.

    Week 5 and beyond

Co-op at 3 Horsemen, who are 4–4 and rated 1257. Worth saying plainly: Lorule is the preseason 8 through 14, so leading it is not the same as leading the league. The record is, and theirs is second of fourteen.

  4. 5▼1 Horny Steel Crushers Hyrule · 4–4 · preseason 5 seed The third-heaviest roster in the league, and exactly .500 to show for it.

    Last three weeks

Swept Three Bomb Count, then split with Fahrenheit 451 and with Midwest is Best. Three weeks, four wins from six games, and no sign yet of the gap the ratings promise.

    Strengths

antlerz44 (2451) is the second-highest-rated racer in the league and beat TruantGamer by 1:27. syscrusher (1975) and eatmysteel (1882) give this team a floor almost nobody else in Hyrule has.

    Weak spots

eatmysteel lost to cUstOm by 39 seconds — the closest game of Week 4 — and that single result is the difference between 4–4 and 5–3. The margins have gone against them all season.

    Week 5 and beyond

Co-op at home against Shadow Cartel, 2103 against 2129. On summed time this is the nearest thing to an even matchup the week has, and the result reorders the top of Hyrule either way.

  5. 6– Lion's Opening Lorule · 5–3 · preseason 10 seed The preseason 10 seed, second in Lorule, still winning games the ratings do not explain.

    Last three weeks

Swept Dodongo Ate My Baby, then split with Three Unique Gamers and 3 Horsemen. Four wins from the last six games, from a roster rated 990.

    Strengths

LysanderTheLion is rated 254 and beat specialk3782 by 13:54. Kingdahl (1614) carries the top of the roster and lost his own game by 49 seconds, which is as close as Week 4 got outside Horny Steel Crushers.

    Weak spots

They have not faced a roster rated above 1320 all season. The record says second in Lorule; the schedule says that has not been tested yet.

    Week 5 and beyond

Co-op at home against TekTITANS, and this is the test: 990 against 2094, with Bogie and ThePirateSheep both quicker on paper than anyone here.

  6. 7– Midwest is Best Hyrule · 2–6 · preseason 1 seed The preseason favorite, in the division its own ranking built, and 2–6 in it.

    Last three weeks

Swept by Shadow Cartel and by TekTITANS, then split with Horny Steel Crushers — the first win since Week 1.

    Strengths

cUstOm (2171) beat eatmysteel by 39 seconds for that point, and at 2138 this is still the highest-rated roster in the league: jessandy8 (2154) and TruantGamer (2088) are both inside the top ten.

    Weak spots

Their last three opponents average 2109, and both teams that have swept them are rated within 50 points of them. Hyrule is the preseason 1 through 7, so being ranked first of fourteen is exactly what put them in the harder half — a schedule problem rather than a roster one, but the table does not care which.

    Week 5 and beyond

Co-op at The Missing Links, 2138 against 2094. The tightest pairing of the week, and the first time this season Midwest is Best have not been the lighter side of the draw.

  7. 8– 8-Bit Warriors Lorule · 4–4 · preseason 12 seed The preseason 12 seed at .500, and they have split every matchup for three weeks.

    Last three weeks

One-all with The Missing Links, The Last Resorts and Dodongo Ate My Baby. Nobody in the league has a flatter month.

    Strengths

SirLinkalot (1519) beat Lumaga by 5:55 and is the only racer here rated above 1200. Against the preseason 4 seed in Week 2 this roster still took a game.

    Weak spots

Mainelyretro207 has no rating on the Beat the game board at all, which makes the third game a genuine unknown every week — and in co-op an unknown is half the clock.

    Week 5 and beyond

Co-op at home against Three Unique Gamers, 1337 against 1316: the second-closest matchup of the week on ratings, between two teams who have spent a month splitting.

  8. 9▲1 The Last Resorts Lorule · 4–4 · preseason 13 seed The preseason 13 seed, level on points with three teams ranked above them.

    Last three weeks

Split with Bow Mode, 8-Bit Warriors and Three Bomb Count. Three wins from six games against a division that was supposed to leave them behind.

    Strengths

Hyo24 (1064) took the Week 4 point in 1:19:05, and Picklesandbeer (1098) gives this team two racers within 40 rating points of each other — which matters more in co-op than a single quick name does.

    Weak spots

Neokefka (593) did not finish against BrewersFanJP, and at 918 the roster is the second-lightest in the league. The points have come in ones, never in twos.

    Week 5 and beyond

Co-op at home against Dodongo Ate My Baby, the only roster in the league rated below theirs. On paper the first week this season The Last Resorts are favorites.

  9. 10▲3 3 Horsemen Lorule · 4–4 · preseason 9 seed Back to .500, and the 49 seconds that nearly made it better.

    Last three weeks

Split with Three Unique Gamers, swept by Shadow Cartel, split with Lion’s Opening. The middle of those was against the best team in the league.

    Strengths

BBQDotGov (1508) beat Kingdahl by 49 seconds in Week 4, the second-closest game of the week, and Stags28 (1397) keeps the top two games competitive against most of Lorule.

    Weak spots

specialk3782 (866) lost by 13:54 and is 500 points adrift of his team-mates, so the third game has been the one that decides the matchup all season.

    Week 5 and beyond

Co-op at home against Bow Mode, who lead the division on a lighter roster. 1257 against 959 makes 3 Horsemen favorites on ratings for the first time in three weeks.

  10. 11– Fahrenheit 451 Hyrule · 3–5 · preseason 7 seed Three splits in a row, and a Week 4 point off the second-best team in Hyrule.

    Last three weeks

One-all with TekTITANS, Horny Steel Crushers and The Missing Links — the 3rd, 5th and 4 seeds in the preseason. No sweeps either way in a month.

    Strengths

RhinoHero (1387) took the point off The Missing Links in 56:20, and Birdman (1807) is the highest-rated racer here by 400 points. Against three preseason top-five teams they have lost nothing worse than a split.

    Weak spots

Birdman lost by 15:56 to Iceblue, the widest margin of the week. The record reads 3–5 because every week has been half a good week.

    Week 5 and beyond

Co-op at Three Bomb Count, 1472 against 1587, between two teams who have each spent the season a point short of the week they deserved.

  11. 12– Three Bomb Count Hyrule · 2–6 · preseason 6 seed The preseason 6 seed at 2–6, and a roster that says this should not be happening.

    Last three weeks

Swept by Horny Steel Crushers and The Missing Links, then split with The Last Resorts — their first win since Week 1.

    Strengths

Sigil (2103) is rated inside the league’s top eight and BrewersFanJP (1976) took the Week 4 point in 1:00:01. The top two games are competitive against anyone in Hyrule.

    Weak spots

ISUMatt (681) is more than 1,200 points behind either team-mate, and the third game has gone the same way for four weeks. In co-op that gap is added to a team-mate’s clock rather than isolated in one game.

    Week 5 and beyond

Co-op at home against Fahrenheit 451, who are also 3–5-ish and also better than their record. The loser of this is running out of season.

  12. 13▼4 Three Unique Gamers Lorule · 3–5 · preseason 8 seed The first team all season to be swept by Bow Mode.

    Last three weeks

Split with 3 Horsemen and Lion’s Opening, then lost both games to Bow Mode — the only 0–2 of their season.

    Strengths

Nochibato (2042) is rated higher than anyone on Bow Mode, Lion’s Opening, The Last Resorts or 3 Horsemen, which is to say higher than most of the division above them.

    Weak spots

Neither game against Bow Mode was finished, and at 955 and 951 the other two thirds of this roster are among the lightest in Lorule. One quick racer and two who are not is a harder shape in co-op than in 1v1.

    Week 5 and beyond

Co-op at 8-Bit Warriors, 1316 against 1337 — as level as the week gets, against a team that has split with everybody for a month.

  13. 14– Dodongo Ate My Baby Lorule · 1–7 · preseason 14 seed The first win of the season, in 2:45:47.

    Last three weeks

Swept by Lion’s Opening and Bow Mode, then split with 8-Bit Warriors. GrandpaSzabo was still going at 2:45:47 when his opponent had stopped, which is how the win arrived.

    Strengths

That is the point: the game was still there to be won an hour after most of the league had finished, and GrandpaSzabo was still in it. seanfreston (643) is the highest-rated racer on the roster and has not had the week that shows it.

    Weak spots

At 368 this is the lightest roster in the league by 550 points, and Lumaga lost the other Week 4 game by 5:55, which is the closest they have come otherwise.

    Week 5 and beyond

Co-op at The Last Resorts, the only roster rated within 550 points of theirs. It is the one matchup on the board where Dodongo Ate My Baby are not the lightest side.

Week 4Mon, Sept. 21

Three weeks in. Teams were seeded on their racers' racetime.gg Beat the game ratings, so the seed beside each team is what the season expected of it; the ratings quoted below are the same leaderboard as of this morning. By that measure Shadow Cartel are doing exactly what a #2 seed should, Bow Mode and Lion's Opening are well ahead of schedule, and the #1 seed, Midwest is Best, is the story nobody predicted.

  1. 1 Shadow Cartel Hyrule · 6–0 · preseason 2 seed The #2 seed, unbeaten, and nobody has finished within three minutes of them.

    Last three weeks

Swept Fahrenheit 451, Midwest is Best and 3 Horsemen. The co-op week was the statement: 17:43 and 19:33 clear of 3 Horsemen on summed time.

    Strengths

droois (2344) and Shatty (2217) are both inside racetime's top 20, and all three racers have won a game. They and TekTITANS are the only teams to have swept the #1 seed.

    Weak spots

The schedule. Their opponents average 1623, lighter than TekTITANS' or Horny Steel Crushers', and only one of the three was a top-five seed.

    Week 4 and beyond

TekTITANS, the #3 seed, on TC #29 flags: 2125 against 2093, one of the two closest-rated matchups of the week, with Bogie (2369) and ThePirateSheep (2253) able to match droois and Shatty. Co-op at Horny Steel Crushers in Week 5.

  2. 3 TekTITANS Hyrule · 4–2 · preseason 3 seed The #3 seed, and they swept the #1 seed last week.

    Last three weeks

Split with Three Bomb Count and Fahrenheit 451, then swept Midwest is Best in the co-op week by 6:17 and 4:49.

    Strengths

Two top-20 racers in Bogie (2369) and ThePirateSheep (2253), and the pace to go with them: ThePirateSheep's 47:05 was the quickest clock posted in Week 2. ThePirateSheep and ramrodius won their co-op game against a pair rated 337 higher.

    Weak spots

Both losses were upsets by rating, Sigil over ThePirateSheep and Bort over ramrodius. The question is consistency, not ceiling.

    Week 4 and beyond

At Shadow Cartel: 2093 against 2125, one of the two closest-rated matchups of the week, and the one that decides whether Hyrule has a race at the top. Lion's Opening in co-op after that.

  3. 4 Horny Steel Crushers Hyrule · 3–3 · preseason 5 seed The third-highest-rated team in the League, and better than 3–3.

    Last three weeks

Swept by The Missing Links in Week 1, swept Three Bomb Count in Week 2 (15:09 clear in the second game), and split the co-op week with Fahrenheit 451.

    Strengths

antlerz44 (2446) is the second-highest-rated racer in the League, behind only Iceblue, and syscrusher has won two of three starts.

    Weak spots

Last week's second co-op game: antlerz44 and eatmysteel lost by 16:19 to a Fahrenheit 451 pair rated some 1,300 lower, the biggest upset of Week 3.

    Week 4 and beyond

At Midwest is Best, the #1 seed: 2103 against 2135, the other of the week's two closest-rated matchups, between two Hyrule sides whose records undersell them. Shadow Cartel in co-op follows.

  4. 5 Bow Mode Lorule · 4–2 · preseason 11 seed Seeded 11th, top of Lorule after three weeks.

    Last three weeks

Split with 8-Bit Warriors and The Last Resorts, then swept Dodongo Ate My Baby in the co-op week: 37:51 clear in the first game, 2:38 in the second.

    Strengths

Flipheal (1711) is the second-highest-rated racer in Lorule and is two for two. Eykir is three for three.

    Weak spots

The lightest schedule in the League (opponents average 726), and both losses came against lower-rated teams. The seeding says they are ahead of themselves; the next three weeks will say whether that holds.

    Week 4 and beyond

At Three Unique Gamers, the #8 seed and the highest-rated team in Lorule (1330 to their 948), with Nochibato (2071), Lorule's top-rated racer. The stiffest test they have had. 3 Horsemen in co-op in Week 5.

  5. 6 Lion's Opening Lorule · 4–2 · preseason 10 seed Seeded 10th, joint top of Lorule, but Week 3 asked questions.

    Last three weeks

Split with The Last Resorts, swept Dodongo Ate My Baby, then split with Three Unique Gamers: a 31:33 co-op loss followed by a 43-second win.

    Strengths

Kingdahl (1623) has won in both formats, and one of Kingdahl and Ultralavos has been in every win.

    Weak spots

The second-lightest schedule in the League (opponents average 872). Against Three Unique Gamers, the first higher-rated side they had met, they lost by 31:33 and won by 43 seconds.

    Week 4 and beyond

At 3 Horsemen, the #9 seed, rated above them (1265 to 983) and coming off a sweep by Shadow Cartel. TekTITANS in co-op after that: the widest rating gap on the Week 5 card.

  6. 7 Midwest is Best Hyrule · 1–5 · preseason 1 seed The #1 seed, the highest-rated team in the League, and 1–5.

    Last three weeks

Split with Three Unique Gamers, then swept by Shadow Cartel and TekTITANS, the #2 and #3 seeds.

    Strengths

Depth nobody else has: all three racers are inside racetime's top 30 and rated above 2,090. cUstOm (2157) beat OzzSolo in Week 1 and took Shatty to 3:01 in Week 2.

    Weak spots

Converting. The losses to Shadow Cartel and TekTITANS came by 3:01, 6:17 and 4:49 against sides rated level with them; the split with the #8 seed is the result that does not fit.

    Week 4 and beyond

Horny Steel Crushers at home: 2135 against 2103, one of the week's two closest-rated matchups. The Missing Links in co-op next. Two good weeks and the standings start to look like the seeding.

  7. 8 8-Bit Warriors Lorule · 3–3 · preseason 12 seed Seeded 12th, and the only team to beat The Missing Links.

    Last three weeks

A split every week, over Bow Mode, The Missing Links and The Last Resorts. The co-op week turned on a 49-second loss followed by a 32:45 win.

    Strengths

SirLinkalot (1519) is three for three, including the biggest solo upset of the season: Thomjay, rated 566 higher, by 3:33. The 32:45 co-op win came against a pair rated some 600 higher.

    Weak spots

Game 2 on solo flags: they have not won one yet.

    Week 4 and beyond

Home to Dodongo Ate My Baby (367 to their 892): the clearest chance yet of a first sweep. Three Unique Gamers in co-op next.

  8. 9 Three Unique Gamers Lorule · 3–3 · preseason 8 seed The top seed in Lorule, 3–3, and three losses by a combined 6:14.

    Last three weeks

A split every week: Midwest is Best, 3 Horsemen, Lion's Opening. The co-op week brought their best result, a 31:33 win.

    Strengths

Nochibato (2071) is the highest-rated racer in Lorule and has won both starts, and TUG are still the highest-rated team in the division (1330).

    Weak spots

Closing: losses of 4:32, 0:59 and 0:43. The top-rated team in Lorule should be winning some of those.

    Week 4 and beyond

Bow Mode at home: TUG the higher-rated side (1330 to 948), Bow Mode the one in form. 8-Bit Warriors in co-op next.

  9. 10 The Last Resorts Lorule · 3–3 · preseason 13 seed Seeded 13th, 3–3, and the most improved team in the League by rating.

    Last three weeks

A split every week, against Lion's Opening, Bow Mode and 8-Bit Warriors, with two of the three wins by 1:56 and 49 seconds.

    Strengths

Their rating has climbed from 567 at seeding to 918 now, the biggest rise of any team. Hyo24 (1060) and Picklesandbeer (1098) have been in every win between them.

    Weak spots

The 32:45 co-op loss to an 8-Bit Warriors pair rated some 600 lower, the second-biggest upset of Week 3.

    Week 4 and beyond

At Three Bomb Count in the crossover, the #6 seed (1590 to 918), with Game 1 already on the calendar: Hyo24 against ISUMatt, Tuesday at 7 PM ET. Dodongo Ate My Baby in co-op next.

  10. 11 Fahrenheit 451 Hyrule · 2–4 · preseason 7 seed The toughest schedule in the League, and the upset of Week 3.

    Last three weeks

Swept by Shadow Cartel, then splits with TekTITANS and Horny Steel Crushers. All three opponents were top-five seeds.

    Strengths

Upsets. Bort (1223) beat ramrodius (1657) in Week 2, and Birdman (1810) and Bort won a co-op game against antlerz44 and eatmysteel by 16:19, a pair rated some 1,300 higher.

    Weak spots

The gap on paper: a 1470 average against opponents averaging 2107. They have closed it twice.

    Week 4 and beyond

The Missing Links at home, with Iceblue (2460), the highest-rated racer in the League: a fourth top-five seed in four weeks. Three Bomb Count in co-op next, the first opponent rated anywhere near them.

  11. 12 Three Bomb Count Hyrule · 1–5 · preseason 6 seed 1–5 against the #3, #5 and #4 seeds: the second-toughest schedule in the League.

    Last three weeks

Split with TekTITANS, then swept by Horny Steel Crushers and The Missing Links.

    Strengths

Sigil (2103) is a top-30 racer and beat ThePirateSheep, a top-20 one, in Week 1. BrewersFanJP has raced every week.

    Weak spots

The gap on paper: a 1590 average against opponents averaging 2097.

    Week 4 and beyond

Home to The Last Resorts in the crossover, and the higher-rated side for the first time this season (1590 to 918). Game 1 is Tuesday at 7 PM ET, ISUMatt against Hyo24. Fahrenheit 451 in co-op next.

  12. 13 3 Horsemen Lorule · 3–3 · preseason 9 seed Two good weeks, then Shadow Cartel.

    Last three weeks

Swept Dodongo Ate My Baby, split with Three Unique Gamers (specialk3782 winning by 59 seconds), then swept by Shadow Cartel in the co-op week.

    Strengths

The second-highest-rated team in Lorule (1265). BBQDotGov (1501) is their top-rated racer and won in Week 1.

    Weak spots

The co-op week showed the distance to the top: 17:43 and 19:33 behind Shadow Cartel. And BlessedBe's win over Stags28 in Week 2 cost them a sweep of the Lorule top seed.

    Week 4 and beyond

Home to Lion's Opening, co-leaders of Lorule but the lower-rated side (983 to 1265). A sweep would put 3 Horsemen above them. Bow Mode in co-op next.

  13. 14 Dodongo Ate My Baby Lorule · 0–6 · preseason 14 seed Seeded 14th and still looking for a first win, but Week 3 was the turn.

    Last three weeks

Swept by 3 Horsemen and Lion's Opening, then ran Bow Mode to 2:38 in the co-op week's second game.

    Strengths

That second co-op game: GrandpaSzabo and seanfreston's 1:09:54 and 1:09:43 came within 2:38 of a higher-rated Bow Mode pair. Lumaga has raced every week.

    Weak spots

On paper every week is uphill, and the solo weeks have been the hardest so far.

    Week 4 and beyond

At 8-Bit Warriors, the lowest-rated opponent they have met (892). The Last Resorts in co-op after that.
